After hearing about the incredible loss of life during the Australian wildfires in 2020, I began to imagine how different animals will adapt to their surroundings in the future. This painting imagines the red tailed black cockatoo changing her feathers to blend with the rainbow of colors in the sky created by the wildfire smoke mixing with the atmosphere.
